FROM DISABILITIES / GOOD CONDUCT
** Our Attorney Basic and Attorney Plus Packages are limited scope representation packages which means that we will handle parts of your case and you, as the client, will be responsible for handling the remaining parts of your case. Our Attorney Complete Package is a full representation package which means we will handle your entire case. Note that the Attorney Basic Package does not include drafting, managing, or organizing affidavits or third-party documents that should accompany your sealing motion. Be sure to take our free eligibility test below before you purchase our Attorney Basic Package to determine if you qualify for record sealing.
Certificate of Relief from Disabilities / Certificate of Good Conduct
The laws governing the issuance of certificates of relief from disabilities are set forth in Article 23 of the New York State Correction Law. If you have a misdemeanor or felony conviction, a Certificate of Relief from Disabilities or a Certificate of Good Conduct can restore rights you lost as a result of your conviction (such as getting a state occupational license or serving on a jury). A certificate can also help you get a job or an occupational license. If you have a certificate when you apply for a job or occupational license, the employer or licensing agency must assume that you are “rehabilitated” unless there is evidence indicating otherwise.
